The "Roseanne" reboot has been CANCELED!
Hours after Roseanne Barr posted a tweet that compared former White House aide Valerie Jarrett to a monkey, ABC/Disney announced they’re canceling the show.
The reboot, which premiered in March 2018, is NOT returning for a new season.
ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey, who became the first African-American to run a major network, just announced the show will NOT be returning for an 11th season this fall.
"Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show," Channing wrote in a brief statement.
When a black woman is your boss…BLOOP!
One racist tweet caused Roseanne’s show, which had been killing TV ratings, to get the axe! It premiered to HUGE ratings and it was renewed for its 12th season shortly after its debut episode. But, not anymore.
