The Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner series is currently airing its fourth season.

Comedy Central has ordered another round of Drunk History.

The Viacom-owned cable network has renewed the Emmy-nominated sketch comedy created by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner for a sixth season. The supersized season will feature two additional episodes for a total of 16 — its largest order yet.

The early renewal comes a month after season five premiered up 44 percent year-over-year and opening as the top show in its time slot among men 18-34. The “Heroines”-themed installment featured narrators Tiffany Haddish, Paget Brewster and Amber Ruffin and re-enactments by Busy Philipps, Evan Rachel Wood and Mandy Moore. The theme helped improve the show’s viewership among women 18-49 by 84 percent, among men in the same demo by 53 percent and by 50 percent among total viewers when compared with the season four opener. The series helped Comedy Central rank as the top cable network among men 18-24 and men 18-34 in January.

Drunk History is exec produced by Waters and Konner as well as Gary Sanchez Productions’ Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Owen Burke. Comedy Central produces the series.

“They say history is written by the victors, but after five seasons, it’s now clear that it is best told by drunken comedians,” Comedy Central president Kent Alterman said.

Drunk History is part of a Comedy Central slate that also includes recently renewed Tosh.0, Broad City, Another Period, Corporate, South Park as well as late-night entries The Daily Show, The President Show, The Jim Jefferies Show and The Opposition With Jordan Klepper.
